Los iconos señaléticos de USTED ESTÁ AQUÍ y de TODAS DIRECCIONES marcan nuestra ubicación, nos sitúan en un determinado espacio o nos dirigen azarosamente hacia cualquier otro lugar. Nos hablan de lugares y de nuestra relación con ellos, pero también de nuestra existencia, de nuestras emociones, de nuestras relaciones humanas y afectivas, de nuestra relación con el mundo y las personas que lo habitan, de lo físico y lo virtual, en un momento vital en el que la idea de distancia y la idea de ubicación han de repensarse, caminando hacia adelante. Ambas ideas, deambulando en un similar y/o contradictorio rumbo, forman parte conceptual e inspiradora del proyecto PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA 2021, la primera como lema de la II Convocatoria Internacional de Arte Postal y la segunda como lema del cuarto número de la revista ensamblada, experimental y rara, del mismo nombre.

Con una tirada de 30 ejemplares (no venales), PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA nº4 / TODAS DIRECCIONES · Que me quiten lo rodao, contiene diecisiete páginas o piezas de poesía visual, pequeña escultura, pintura, diseño gráfico, creación procesual, performance, etc., de doce artistas mostoleños que forman parte de su “equipo de redacción”, más dos páginas de reconocidos artistas invitados y tres páginas colectivas.

PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA ha creado para su cuarta edición un número rodante. Un divertido y juguetón contenedor de cartón, con forma de LETRA P (de Periferia), decorado con flechas y adhesivos, y montado sobre cuatro vistosas ruedas de goma que permiten conducirlo fácilmente al lugar que se desee. Un coche en el que la portezuela del maletero es la entrada al paraíso de las diecisiete excéntricas páginas o piezas contenidas en la revista.

La Federación de Comerciantes de Móstoles, colabora en la difusión del proyecto PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA, exponiendo en los escaparates de ocho comercios de la ciudad de Móstoles, sendos ejemplares desplegados de la edición excéntrica PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA nº4 / TODAS DIRECCIONES · Que me quiten lo rodao, del 25 de junio al 25 de julio de 2021. Una iniciativa que otorga visibilidad al proyecto de un modo también inhabitual, haciéndolo llegar directamente al transeúnte accidental.

PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA es un proyecto de edición ensamblada, experimental y rara de arte contemporáneo, que nace en el Centro Cultural Villa de Móstoles en el año 2018 y produce la Concejalía de Cultura. Cuenta con la colaboración en la difusión de la Federación de Comerciantes de Móstoles, y la coordinación de Pepe Murciego, artista y coeditor de la revista La Más Bella.

The signage icons of USTED ESTÁ AQUÍ (YOU ARE HERE) and of TODAS DIRECIONES (ALL DIRECTIONS) mark our location, place us in a certain space or randomly direct us to any other place. They tell us about places and our relationship with them, but also about our existence, our emotions, our human and emotional relationships, our relationship with the world and the people who inhabit it, about the physical and the virtual, in a vital moment in which the idea of distance and the idea of location have to be rethought, walking forward. Both ideas, wandering in a similar and / or contradictory direction, form a conceptual and inspiring part of the PERIFERIA IMAGINARIA 2021 project, the first as the motto of the II International Mail Art Call and the second as the motto of the fourth issue of the assembled, experimental magazine and rare, of the same name.

A lo largo de mi dilatada carrera profesional como docente, uno de los medios que permite poder crear con libertad, cuando y lo que se desee, ha hecho que padeciera un duro destierro de 27 años. He tenido que vivir en varias direcciones diferentes a mi tierra, añorada y deseada desde que me obligaron a dejarla. Aprobar una oposición de Enseñanza Secundaria en la especialidad de Dibujo en la Comunidad de Castilla y León, no supone disfrutar de una vida plena en la mayoría de los casos. En otros, sí. Los enchufismos camuflados bajo la fórmula opaca denominada comisión, suponen un coladero de plazas reservadas para unos pocos afortunados e insolidarios, avalados por los dirigentes de las direcciones provinciales. ¿Algún día nuestros dirigentes políticos tendrán la humanidad y justicia de pensar en los demás con equidad?

Tras 27 años con la oposición aprobada logro llegar a mi tierra, Burgos, para jubilarme, tras pasar por León, Piedrahita (Ávila) y Salamanca. Adiós burocracia, adiós raíces exteriores, adiós destierro. Hola, hogar dulce hogar.

Throughout my long professional career as a teacher, one of the means that allows me to create with freedom, when and what you want, has caused me to suffer a harsh exile of 27 years. 1.- Cambie una de las ruedas del coche por la rueda de repuesto (la encontrará dentro del vehículo).
2.- Saque el tintero y retire la tapa.
3.- Ruede la rueda recién cambiada sobre el tintero.
4.- Diviértase.

En “VD. PODRÍA ESTAR AQUÍ…” hago un guiño a la II Convocatoria de Arte Postal USTED ESTÁ AQUÍ - YOU ARE HERE, a través de un pequeño “cuaderno de viaje”.

De un libro deshojado extraigo un listado de varias ciudades mundiales a las que se podría viajar si uno quisiera, eligiendo al azar, marcando y subrayando en color vivo una ciudad en concreto, para cada uno de los 30 ejemplares de la edición. De puño y letra, hago una escueta descripción de cada ciudad elegida, resaltando sus coordenadas geográficas, en caso de que se vaya a visitar, incluyendo en la portada, además del título, una pequeña brújula en pleno rendimiento.

In “YOU COULD BE HERE…” I wink at the II Mail Art Call USTED ESTÁ AQUÍ - YOU ARE HERE, through a small “travelnotebook”.

From a leafless book, I extract a list of various world cities to which you could travel if you wanted, choosing at random, marking and underlining a specific city in bright colour, for each of the 30 copies of the edition. In handwriting, I make a brief description of each chosen city, highlighting its geographical coordinates, in case you are going to visit, including on the cover, in addition to the title, a small compass in full operation.
